Leading figures in the Asia Pacific satellite industry have urged their peers to maintain the fight on protecting satellite spectrum usage rights against the challenge posed by the mobile cellular and wireless broadband sectors.

Thuraya’s Asia Pacific satellite was successfully launched yesterday allowing the United Arab Emirates’ operator to launch services across the region by the end of the first quarter.
